Kiwi Physiotherapy Services Kiwi Physiotherapy Services is a private physiotherapy provider servicing the Derwentside, Durham, Chester le Street and Rickleton areas of the North East of England. Our business was established in April 1996.
Physiotherapy is provided at two centres:

- The Woodlands Surgery, Vigo Lane, Rickleton Village, Washington, NE38 9EJ
All our Physiotherapists are registered with the Health Professions Council and are Members of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy. We treat all manner of musculoskeletal problems. Back and neck pain, sports injuries, joint, muscle and tendon problems. Sprains, strains, arthritis and other degenerative conditions.
We are all very experienced musculoskeletal physiotherapists relying heavily on manual therapy (manipulation, mobilisation and massage) but also using exercise therapy, acupuncture for pain relief, electrotherapy, traction and injection therapy, where appropriate. Many injuries occur as a result of asymmetries & imbalances, stiffness in one region of your body and weakness or instability in another. We routinely screen for these imbalances ensuring we treat the cause of your problem and not just the symptoms.
We strongly promote self help via education and advice. Treatment is offered in the clinic setting, or if the client is unable to travel, at the client s home. Disabled access is available at both our Clinics. Evening and weekend appointments are available at our main Clinic in Lanchester.
As Chartered Physiotherapists registered with the Health Professions Council we are recognised by all major private medical insurance companies.
